MAGICIAN’S CHAIN
A Magician’s Chain is a toy usually made from metal rings where the rings cascade from the top of the chain. I wanted to make a coloured Magician’s Chain to show what actually happens so Steve designed and printed the rings to do it.
The rings are about 30 mm wide with a 2 degree gap in the circumference to allow them to be slotted together.
Short metal version
Short 3D printed version
These photos show the short 3D chain in the two positions you see in the video.
Turn on your sound to hear the rings falling.
Blog post about the chains.
